FACT!
Another Samsung study found that VR decreases pain in patients by 52 percent.
EXERGAMES
The company MIRA uses physical therapy software and focuses on making patient recovery manageable. The center developed exercise games called Exergames. Exergames were built around physical therapy. MIRAâs system uses a Microsoft Kinect connected to a camera. The Kinect uses cameras to track patient movement and control the game. These games make physical therapy fun, speedy, and easy.
Patients play different Exergames depending on what muscles they need to move. Because the therapy takes place in a game, patients are more likely to finish their whole routine.
